If a third party arranged your gas or electricity contract, there's a strong chance they were paid a commission by the supplier. In many cases, this commission was added into your unit rates without proper disclosure. If this wasn't clearly explained to you, the contract may be considered mis-sold.
A valid claim often comes down to whether the broker explained their payment. You may be eligible if: you were not told the broker was adding commission to your rates, you were given vague information about their fee, the broker claimed their service was "free", or the commission was hidden inside the p/kWh rate without your knowledge.
Most claims fall within this timeframe. Even if your contract has expired, you may still be eligible. We can review the dates and advise you immediately.
If your bills increased unexpectedly or you later realised you were paying well above market rate, this can be a sign that commission was added somewhere in the process.
If a broker rushed you to agree, made statements that turned out to be untrue, or claimed the deal was "urgent," that behaviour can support a mis-selling claim.
Limited companies, sole traders, partnerships, charities, schools, care homes, hospitality venues, retail shops, manufacturing sites, churches, community groups, and large multi-site operators can all submit claims.
Many clients assume they must gather lots of paperwork before starting. You don't.
You can still be eligible.
Compensation can often be claimed through alternative legal routes even when the broker has ceased trading.
You're not expected to know. That's our job.
A quick review by our team will tell you within days whether your business is eligible—and how much you might recover.
Many businesses have recovered from £2,000 up to £1.8 million in compensation due to broker commissions and inflated fees embedded in their contracts.
For illustration only: actual claim value depends on your contract size, use, duration and facts.
